I still do loads of jingles, even though the work load piles on, I am really happy when I go back and take a listen to some of the ones I have done.
I did one for a really great company called Brevity. They do a lot for small business, and you should go check them out.
The cool thing is that their website opens with a movie that is animated to a jingle I wrote called The Business Song. It is witty, wordy, and very inspiring I think. Its a bit “inside baseball”, but I think you get the idea of how this is a cool thing for a website to have. I was proud to be a part of this process.
Last night I invited hundreds personally into my living room. Well, virtually.
Yes, it was another one of my streaming live shows on Ustream.tv. My friend Rick Yaeger reminded me that it was a year ago Nov 11th, that I did an accidental live show from my studio. I twittered that I was writing and recording in my studio, and before you knew it, I had hundreds of people show up in the Ustream chat room and request songs. Thus setting the ground for more live streaming all request shows that I have been doing over the past year. I never really have a set plan, I just do them when I feel like it, but they are always fun and people are soooooo amazing and kind when they show up to watch me interact with them.
Dave Moyer even wrote such a kind blog about it here.
So did the MacMommy as she described how she and her son danced the night away while they watched my show. Read about that here.
I have just released the ninth update to the Ones and 0s album which is a first time release of “Foot In Your Door”.
I actually did this song in just one day last year. I woke up, wrote and recorded it. Took a lunch break and then mixed it and finished it - I hope you like it.
To get the update just check your Ones and 0s podcast in iTunes and refresh. The new track should be downloading right away, do drop us a line if you face any issues.
Extra material will also be available for download for the Ones and 0s subscribers.
Holy Cow!!!! Conan O’Brien just did a hilarious bit about countdown clocks and one of the gags featured the iYule.
Cali Lewis, Paul Colligan, and I made iYule last Christmas, which is a great little video of the Yule Log and Christmas music that works on iPhones, iPods, Zunes, Apple TVs, etc.
And while I have a moment to plug it, iYule is still ready for your holidays. Get one, and portions of proceeds help some of our favorite charities.
